Institutional Entrepreneurship for Knowledge Regions

چکیده
This paper investigates conceptually the institutional change process and innovation underpinning the knowledge-based regional development from the point of view of institutional entrepreneurship. The main aim is to raise institutional entrepreneurship among the debated concepts in regional development studies. The paper sets out to discuss the following question: What kind of conceptual framework provides empirical studies with a solid base to study the ways in which key actors influence the course of events and aim to change the very institutional setting in which they are embedded?
